Healthy Eating - Vitamins and the Digestive System

In our Healthy Eating unit recently we have explored the digestive system - how the body digests our food, uses the nutrients and gets rid of the waste - and Vitamins - looking at Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, where to find them and what they help our body to do. As part of our digestive system learning we all became parts of the digestive system in a life-size demo, before making our own collage diagram of this system. During our vitamins session, we completed some of our own research on these vitamins in groups before making our own super-smoothie, using kale, grapes, milk, yoghurt, banana and orange - covering most, if not all, of the vitamins we had been researching.
